Golden State Lawyers, APC (“Golden State Lawyers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information through www.bohnlaw.com, our contact and consultation forms, and other online communications that link to this policy. It applies to website visitors, people who contact us about a potential matter, and clients to the extent that a separate engagement agreement, professional obligation, or applicable law does not provide a different rule.
This policy is intended to provide a clear notice of our information practices. It does not create a contract, expand our professional duties, or replace any written agreement between you and the firm. We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above identifies the current version.
Important information for prospective clients
- Information on this website is general information and is not legal advice. It may not apply to your circumstances and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.
- Sending information through this website, a web form, email, text message, or social media does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is created only through a written engagement or other express confirmation from the firm.
- Website and email communications may not be secure. Do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, medical records, or other highly sensitive information unless the firm has given you a secure method and specifically requested it.
- We may use information submitted by a prospective client to communicate with you, perform an initial review, and check for conflicts of interest. A submission does not mean that we have agreed to represent you, and it does not stop any deadline from running.
Information we collect
We collect information that you choose to provide and limited technical information generated when you use the website. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact and identification information: your name, telephone number, email address, mailing address, preferred method of contact, and information about your relationship to a person or organization involved in a matter.
- Consultation and case information: information about an accident, injury, loss, insurance claim, legal issue, or other matter that you voluntarily describe to us, including dates, locations, witnesses, documents, photographs, and information about medical treatment or physical or mental health.
- Communications and preferences: the content of messages and form submissions, records of our communications with you, consent choices, requests, and subscription or opt-out preferences.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, dates and times of access, interaction data, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.
- Information from other sources: information available from public sources, referrals, or service providers when reasonably necessary to respond to an inquiry, provide requested services, maintain security, or comply with law and professional obligations.
You may browse most of the website without directly identifying yourself. If you submit an inquiry, however, the information you provide may include sensitive personal information, such as health or injury information. Please provide only information reasonably necessary for your inquiry and follow any instructions we give you for securely transmitting documents.

Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, understand website traffic, measure performance, improve content, and support security. The website currently uses Google Tag Manager to load and manage site tags and includes a cookie-preference interface. Tags or technologies provided by third parties may be subject to those providers’ own privacy policies.
- Essential technologies support site operation, security, form functionality, and basic preferences.
- Analytics technologies help us understand visits, navigation, and interactions so we can improve the site.
- Preference and communication technologies remember choices or help us respond to requests.
You can use the website’s Cookies control, when available, to review or change available preferences. You can also adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking some technologies may affect the operation of forms or other website features. Browser-based “Do Not Track” signals may not control every technology used on the site.
Contact forms and third-party service providers
Our contact page uses a form hosted and processed through crm.bohnlaw.com. When you submit that form, the information you provide may be transmitted to and stored by the service provider that supports the form and the firm’s communications or client-intake systems. We use service providers for website hosting, form and CRM operations, email and communications, analytics, security, information technology, and related business functions. These providers may access personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us and must handle it in accordance with applicable requirements.
Third-party websites, social-media pages, maps, forms, or other services linked from this website are controlled by their respective providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Please review those policies before submitting information through a third-party service.
When we disclose information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- To service providers and contractors that help us operate the website, receive and manage inquiries, provide legal services, maintain systems, communicate with you, analyze performance, or protect security;
- To attorneys, co-counsel, experts, investigators, insurers, medical providers, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary to evaluate or provide requested legal services, subject to applicable authorization, confidentiality, and professional obligations;
- When required or permitted by law, subpoena, court order, regulatory request, or professional obligation, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of our systems;
- In connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections; and
- With your direction or consent, or for another purpose disclosed when the information is collected.
Information relating to a legal matter may also be subject to attorney-client privilege, work-product protection, confidentiality duties, or other legal protections. Those protections may limit how information can be disclosed and may exempt certain information from rights or requests under applicable privacy laws.
Retention of information
We retain each category of information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, providing or evaluating legal services, maintaining business and professional records, complying with legal and ethical obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing misuse, and protecting security. Retention periods vary based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, whether a person becomes a client, applicable limitation periods, and records-retention requirements. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely dispose of it when reasonably practicable, subject to legal holds and other applicable exceptions.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain. No website, form, email transmission, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not use the website or ordinary email to send information that requires a heightened level of security unless we have instructed you to do so through a secure channel.
California privacy rights
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to our processing of your information, California residents may have the right to:
- Know about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share, and the purposes for those activities;
- Access or obtain a copy of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions;

- Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal and other exceptions;
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information in circumstances provided by law;

We do not sell personal information. If you submit a request, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority to make the request.
